Abstract

The United States faces today a historical political and social crisis, a process that was sharply reflected in the mid-term elections of 2018. This trend shall define much of the electoral behavior of 2020. Based on a close analysis events, the present piece offers some interpretive notes of the main causes and direct impact of last year ́s election for the country and the region as whole.
