Abstract

The aim of this article is to demonstrate the participation and collaboration of infrastructures in regional development, based on the relationship between the product and regional productivity and the different endowments of existing infrastructures. The work calculates state allocations for the transport, communications and energy sectors according to the criterion of productive capacity, and obtains indicators of regional allocations based on Biehl's (1986) methodologies and factor analysis. The objective of this work is achieved by quantifying the correlation between infrastructure endowments and total factor productivity, and by measuring productivity elasticities in relation to infrastructure resource endowments. Both analyzes are performed in an aggregated and disaggregated manner.
